Whether you are working on or off campus, your best source of
information is the library homepage at: www.library.utoronto.ca
From the library's homepage you can search its catalogue, search
for articles as well as find electronic journals and other electronic
resources and data bases.
If you are working off-campus and attempt to connect to the
library's on-line collections you will be prompted to login with your
UTORID & passworrd (or your library barcode and PIN number). You can
also sign in directly through my.access.
Perhaps the most useful tool for you research will be the library's
article search facility using the Scholar's Portal. It enables you to
search for on-line articles using keywords. Simply enter your keywords in
the box labeled: Search for articles on your topic. Make sure that you
are on the articles tab
From the library homepage, you can also access:

for the best Political Science databases.
- In addition to Scholars Portal the ISI Web of Knowledge,
Wilson and Jstor databases are available.
- Specific
e-journals like Public Opinion Quarterly, Canadian Journal of
Political Science and the American Political Science Review.
UofT also offers and excellent resource for keeping track of your
references through RefWorks which permits the direct importation of
citations from the Scholar's Portal.You can link directly to RefWorks
from the library homepage. Details on its use are available by linking to
the RefWorks
workbook.
